Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 4 Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak Released

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 31, 2010 – iPhone Dev Team has released 0.9.7 beta 4 redsn0w a major change reds0w no longer need to install and run a separate program for usbmux that has caused much confusion with the process of jailbreak.

The iphone Dev team confirms that it eliminates the need for out of the running processes that have affected many usbmuxd Mac OS X. Well, apart from that, the new version just to stay even. Also let me tell you that Bluetooth is still disabled.

The official change log is as follows -

Starting with this version, redsn0w no longer requires you to install and run a separate program for the usbmux (this was a non-trivial procedure for many). It’s okay to keep that program running if you normally use it for ssh anyway. We also think we’ve fixed a race condition in the GUI that was causing redsn0w to crash during the “Preparing JB Monte Files” step. Nothing at all has changed on the iPhone side (where the main issues are still just Bluetooth and Skype).

Even if this statement redsn0w testers official record is anything to go by, the Windows version of 0.9.7 redsn0w followed shortly after the fourth beta for Mac OS X:
