Untethered Jailbreak For iOS 4.2.1 Not Coming This Christmas!

We are saddened to share with our readers that the expected released of the untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak on Christmas has been postponed. Comex just confirmed this shortly before that he will not be able to meet the Christmas deadline for the jailbreak method.

The userland based untethered jailbreak by Comex was expected to be a better and more efficient jailbreak method. The other good thing was that this untethered jailbreak would be used to jailbreak al existing iOS devices as well as the newer A4 based iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 4G and the Apple TV 2G.

That’s not it, we are already waiting for the iPhone Dev Teams release of the untethered jailbreak method. Though it is reported to require iOS 4.2 Beta SHSH blobs. We are all eyes on the upcoming news regarding news on jailbreak tools and methods, so stay tuned.
