As Apple continues to control the tablet market with its iPad variations, Samsung is making strides in carving out its niche phablet market with the third generation Galaxy Note 3.
2013 was a big year for the smartphone industry with record sales and market saturation reaching 70 percent. Smartphones are in — and Samsung is leading the revolution as the current number one Smartphone maker in the world. Legal squabbles with Apple aside, Samsung has captured the market by adopting Google’s ubiquitous operating system Android while also offering an ever growing variety of devices. Although Samsung is involved in numerous consumer technology sectors, it appears the mobile phone department is where the growth is occurring.
