U.S. stores restock as Apple sells iPad 2 in China

Apple Inc.’s May 6 debut of its iPad 2 in China was met with long lines and sellouts.

And, while the the iPad2 launched in the U.S. in March, the product still is largely unavailable in many areas, including in the Dayton region. However, several local stores said Friday they had replenished sold-out stocks of the popular new tablet.

Local Best Buy Co. (NYSE: BBY) stores are still sold out of the white version of the popular tablet, but do have the black iPad2 in stock. Store associates said the shipments of the white iPad 2 come in sporadically. Best Buy doesn’t offer a waiting list for customers.
