Acer´s Iconia Tab A500:the cheapest Android 3.0 tablet

Acer introduced its Iconia Tab A500 that runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system.It has a 10.1 inch tablet,a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor.Its price is $450 which means it is $50 cheaper than iPad 2 and 4350 cheaper than Motorola Xoom.It also features Wi-Fi connectivity.720p video viewing capability,HDMI port, Bluetooth and Flash 10.1 support.

It is 10.24-inches wide,6.97-inches tall and 0.52-inches thick and weights 1.69.Has a 1280×800 resolution,1GB of RAM,a 5MP rear camara and a 2MP front camara and 16 GB internal storage,built-in gyroscope,micro-SD card slot for up to 32GB internal memory.

It also features a 3260 mAh battery that offers up to eight full hours of life while playing HD video.The tablet´s home screen is devided into four sections:Videos and Photos,E-book,Games and Music.

Acer is claiming that they are capable of offering¨premium HD arcade games and complex online 3D games´.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 Wi-Fi only version will be available in the U.S. at Best Buy stores for $450 without any contract from April 24.It is now available for pre-order on Best Buy with in-store pre-orders beginning on April 14.
