TORONTO – Technology giant Apple Inc. has purchased the 3D senor-maker PrimeSense, a spokesperson confirmed Monday.
“We can confirm the deal with Apple. Further than that, we cannot comment at this stage,” a spokesperson told Global News.
Global News first reported the possible acquisition last week, citing reports that Apple had purchased PrimeSense for US$345 million.
Though PrimeSense did not comment on the amount of the acquisition, publications including Bussiness Weekand The Guardian reported Monday that the total amount Apple paid for the company was US$350 million.
