Nokia entered the tablet segment with the launch of the Lumia 2520 last month. Since then, there have been reports that the Finnish manufacturer may have another tablet in the pipeline, this time an 8-inch one, codenamed the Illusionist. A new report fromDigitimes now suggests that the device may be called the Lumia 2020, and that the company could be planning to unveil it as early as the first quarter of 2014.
Citing “sources familiar with the matter”, the report claims that Nokia plans to expand its tablet portfolio with the launch of the new tablet which will be targeted at the mid-range segment. The high-end segment, on the other hand, will be catered to by the Lumia 2520, yet to launch in India. The Lumia 2020 is rumoured to come with Windows RT 8.1 and a Qualcomm processor packed in. It was earlier thought that the tablet could be shown off at Consumer Electronic Show to be held in January next year, a claim that the new report seems to corraborate.
