Welcome to this morning's edition of "First To Know," a series in which we keep you in the know on what's happening in the digital world.
Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. Google’s executive chairman, Eric Schmidt, wrote a step-by-step guide to help his friends make the switch from iPhone to Android, called “Eric’s Guide: Converting to Android from iPhone.” In a patent case involving online retailer Newegg.com and patent-holding company TQP, the jury ruled in favor of TQP. And in another ongoing patent dispute, this one between Samsung and Apple, a federal judge rejectedSamsung’s motion for an emergency stay of the trail.
