I just got a new Galaxy Note 3 and Gear to test out and I have to admit that the Gear, in particular, has been a surprise.
The Note 3 is called by some a Phablet – it’s a phone but it has a 5.7” screen that makes for a mammoth phone, so it’s closer to a small tablet. The screen is Super AMOLED – 1920 x 1080, bright, vibrant and crystal clear – and huge. The Note 3 runs under Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and has a 2.3 GHz Quad Core processor onboard. The response is very fast on this Galaxy Note 3 – it hasvery impressive performance.
The 13-megapixel camera captures still and video images and Samsung’s Smart Stabilization lets you take action shots in low light. The front camera is a 2-megapixel, also with Smart Stabilization, that can record full motion video at 30 frames per second.
